Combi heating boilers for tiny homes

If you have a storage space issue in your household you should consider installing a combination gas boiler. All you want to install the full central heating system is a combi heating boiler and balanced flue. Add in radiators and copper pipes and you are then able to heat your house. You could be amazed by this and ask whether we had left out some components. Central heating systems seem to need a hot water cylinder to store water, a feed and enlargement cylinder in the loft and a water pump to move everything around.

Surprisingly a combi boiler does not require any of these pieces. You do not need to purchase a hot water storage cylinder, you do not want a feed and expansion cylinder up in the loft, the combi boiler casing also has room to integrate the other pieces mentioned. Adopting this system means you can retrieve a considerable amount of space.

Combination heating boilers are not a new gas boiler design. They have a longer history in Europe but have now become the most common gas boiler in the UK. It is has two major deviations with the system and typical type of gas boilers. The central heating hot water circulation system is sealed. This means that there is no need for a feed and enlargement cylinder in the loft. Extra room is saved by the boiler integrating its own hot water storage cylinder removing the requirement for the hot water storage tank.

Home hot water is developed on demand, this is signalled when you switch on a tap. The hot water is produced by the use of a highly cost-effective internal heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is heated by clever use of the existing hot water in the central heating system. Fresh cold water from the outside mains passes through this heat exchanger where it is heated before it reaches the hot water valve.

Automated priority is given to the demand for hot water over water being furnished to the radiators to heat the dwelling house. When the tap is closed again the central heating water is returned to its normal circuit.
